Q : windows 7.1 tablet upgrade

(From our group!category-topic/windows-8-club/UN-TAWr1vsw )

I just loaded windows 8.1 and the sound on my solitaire suite isn't working right. What should I do? Should I delete and reinstall the solitaire suite?
Also, the upgrade changed my wallpaper. The old selection is gone.   Is there a way to change that
back? I know that there is a windows 8 wallpaper pack, would that have all of my old windows        8 wallpapers?

I would suggest a couple points not made here.......

1) Is the Solitaire suite included Windows Games or is it a seperate
third party software you installed? You can check audio by going to the
Control Panel and click Sounds and review settings. Is there all other
regular audio sound? also click the little Sound icon in the lower left
tray bottom. Is "Mute" on ? Uncheck it for sounds. Check any Media
Players installed that may have audio muted on, example Windows media
Player etc.

2) When you upgraded did you click to include existing files? If not
they will have to be installed. That may explain the new default
Wallpapers installed and set ad default.  Some links......

first-hand experiences.

[NOTE that when you go to search engines looking for free wallpapers
that historically many, many of them lead to malware infections. Best to
have quality antimalware installed, updated, and running 24/7]
